Our story

Planorama was established in 2009 with the mission of revolutionizing in-store measurement, real-time reporting and execution in the retail space through its unique image recognition technology, ultimately driving efficiencies and sales uplift.

Based in one of Paris’ innovation centers where several other technology companies are headquartered, we work in an environment where new ideas and creativity flourish.

Today Planorama is the recognized leader in supplying image recognition technology services, real-time reporting and products to manufacturers and retailers around the world. We work with some of the most recognized global brands in over 20 countries and our roster and reach continues to expand.

Planorama has established a strategic partnership with The Smollan Group of South Africa, a global field marketing leader in 16 countries and with 50,000 employees. Smollan is part of WPP, the world leader in marketing communication services with 3,000 offices in 110 countries. Our association with these organizations allows us to leverage world class resources to better serve our clients.

We are aggressively investing in our Research and Development activities, including our latest R&D facility in Budapest, Hungary. This ensures that we continue to supply our worldwide partners with leading edge products and services in the field of in-store image recognition and real-time reporting.
